New Life

I’ve started my new life here at UW (University of Waterloo) and so far it’s pretty good. I moved in on the 1st, after another adventure in Borden, and it’s a nice place. There’s a whole week of orientation stuff happening (frosh week) but I’ve only done probably half a day’s worth. I’m just too lazy and some of the stuff is quite lame. One of UW’s Math Faculty traditions is to give out pink ties and hang a huge one on the side of MC (Math and Computers Building). Weird, but cool I guess.

Right now I’m sitting at my cheap fake-wood desk in my room in my apartment that I’m sharing with Harry and his brother Roland. They are SO weird. They make interesting roomies. We didn’t have internet for 5 days (because Bell is really stupid) so they went on internet withdrawal. It wasn’t pretty – they were up last night screaming in very high pitched voices complaining about the loss of their best friends. It was hilarious. We finally have internet now, and now I feel not so disconnected for everyone back home. Hail Facebook!!

I'm Turning Girly…

I never thought I would do this, but I bought myself a handbag.

It’s kind of cute, and I probably need one since my pockets are protesting carrying all my wallet, keys and misc stuff.  Below are pics of my laptop! Cuteness has already infested it too…:

New Toy!

As a gift for my successful graduation from high school, my father bought me a laptop! I got to choose which one, as long as it suited a vague budget. So, after research of what I needed/wanted, and a hint of style to go with it, I chose a Dell Inspiron 1521 in Ruby Red. It’s quite lovely, though a bit larger than I expected. It also weighs more than I would have expected. It’s still nice though.

Summer has been boring and I know I should be doing something with it, so I’m not wasting the only month of free time I’ll ever have again. Oh well. I’ve been going to little parties and such, so that’s good I guess. I’m also planning on putting my two weeks in at the Deli, so I can get out of there soon to waste more time doing nothing.

I still need to do lots of stuff around the house and web-related crap, but I am entirely submitting myself to complete laziness.
