Boxing day blowout!
My sister and her friend were going to bayshore today (they planned it yesterday) and they invited me along so I went. Bayshore (local mall) was absolutely NUTS today. Longest line of cars I have ever seen going to one place. The parking lots looked pretty damn full too. When we got into the actual mall, American Eagle was packed so we headed up to Old Navy instead. It was also packed. I managed to find a nice shirt though so I made my way to the long-ass line. After that, I went to a bunch of other stores just looking at stuff and then went to one of my favourite clothing stores evarr: Suzy Shier. The stuff is very inexpensive and its so plain and simple so just what I love most. I bought two shirts there, each $5. Score! They’re very nice long-sleeved polo-type shirts.
This day just keeps getting better: On my way home at around 5pm, my dad and I stopped at the grocery store to get ingredients for tonight’s dinner (Sloppy Joes XD) and then I saw it…well actually I’ve seen it before… but not at such a low price: A giant crate of chocolate bars each for 25 cents!!! So I went over and picked out like 10 Kit-Kat chunkies and 2 coffee crisps for my mom and a couple Aeros for Tori. What a deal!!! The whole shi-bang only came to $4.50. Woohoo!
Still ownage: When I got home with my chocolate bars and my dinner ingredients, I was pleased to find mail for me on the counter. Two of the three pieces were christmas cards from DMB members and one was a generic christmas card from President’s Choice (lame). I smiled at the DMB cards and opened them right away. I left the PC card to rot. Just kidding XP Also in the mail was a delivery slip notification (because our mail men are lazy) to pick up the American Eagle clothes I ordered online for christmas. There’s a funny story with that one too…
I’ve been shopping with AE for a bit now and been pretty pleased. This time though, I looked at the order total and being the whiz-kid I am, added up the numbers. Whoops- AE can’t do simple addition! They somehow got 112.80 + 18.46 = 150.73. Wtf? Also, for their ‘taxes’ (I’m in Canada) they magically pulled the 18.46 out of their ass(es). In addition to that they magically got 112.80 even though one of they items they randomly cancelled too! Weirder yet however: 138.80 appear on my dad’s credit card statement. Wtf is going ON. I quickly emailed customer support to perhaps get a human to talk to me about it but alas, only auto-responses. They said that they ‘weren’t responsible for the calculation of taxes”. Well couldn’t they just tell me then where they came from?? … I sent another email, this time asking in more detail why my order was so foobarred. They then cheekily told me to call their tech support number. It’s toll-free so I probably will get around to doing it tomorrow, but they better have some answers for me!!
